Schools have the opportunity to participate in the Learning for Life Program through Northern Star Council, Learning for Life and Exploring. Learning for Life strives to serve and teach youth "self-confidence, motivation, and self-worth" through cirriculum for grades K-12.

The National Learning for Life program "makes academic learning fun and relevant to real-life situations." The program "helps youth reach beyond themselves by placing them in situations that help them to understand and act constructively."
